OMG, OMG, OMG, it's here! Wes Anderson, you've done it again. Lo and behold, it's the trailer for his upcoming The Grand Budapest Hotel.
OK, now that I've wet my pants a little bit after this delight of a trailer let's look at the facts. As expected, Anderson has again assembled an enormous cast of great character actors, including a bunch of Anderson regulars and headlined by Ralph Fiennes. The plot about a concierge at a famous European hotel seems almost secondary next to the lavish sets, the wonderful score and a set of players all on top of their game. Anderson's last movie was 2012's Moonrise Kingdom which ended up being one of my favorites of that year so let's hope The Grand Budapest Hotel will live up to that high standard. Keep your dark rimmed hipster glasses and colorful retro scarves ready for the US release date on March 7, 2014.
